Leverkusen (AP) - Without Exequiel Palacios, Bayer Leverkusen must go into the last two Bundesliga games of the season.
The Argentine international sustained a muscle injury in the area of the right adductor during training, as Bayer announced on Friday.
This was the result of a final examination of the 22-year-old who got stuck in the lawn while lungeing.
Since Leverkusen stated the downtime was around eight weeks, Palacios is not only missing in the Bundesliga this Saturday against 1. FC Union Berlin (3.30 p.m. / Sky) and a week later in the game against DFB Cup winner Borussia Dortmund.
The midfielder is also missing out on Cópa America, which takes place June 13th through July 10th in his native Argentina and Colombia.
