In October last year, the animal hospital Anicura moved to its new premises at Hedentorp in Jönköping.

Even then, there was a shortage of licensed veterinarians and veterinary nurses.

And now the hospital is forced to limit the opening hours of the emergency department due to staff shortages.

- We have for a long time been drawn with a deficit of licensed staff, especially veterinary nurses.

It has affected our endurance and means that our employees have had to toil for a long time.

This animal hospital will remain for a long time, and for that to happen, we need to make this adjustment now, says Stefan Carlsson.

What do you say about the future?

- It is our absolute ambition and hope that we will be able to return to regular opening hours as soon as possible.

The goal is to extend the opening hours further than to 22. This hospital has once been open around the clock, and it would be fantastic to be able to offer round-the-clock operations in Jönköping again at some point, says Stefan Carlsson.

On Monday 17 May, the opening hours of the emergency room will change from 08-22 to 08-19.
