Merseburg (dpa / sa) - In the Saalekreis, the health department wrote to everyone who had recovered after a corona infection.

The district office announced that the dispatch of the so-called corona recovery letters was completed on Friday.

This means that a letter of verification has been created and sent for all people who have tested positive for Sars-CoV-2 with a PCR test since March 2020 and reported to the health department.

According to the information, this affects all cases for which a finding was available by Wednesday. "Unfortunately, due to technical circumstances, it can happen that some letters were sent twice and that people who have since died, if they have not died of Covid-19, were written to as recipients," said the district office's announcement. The employees of the health department would very much regret this and ask for your understanding and apologies.

For all people who tested positive from Wednesday, the recovery letter will be sent promptly and unsolicited, it said.

The prerequisite is that the positive PCR result is available to the health department.

There could occasionally be slight delays here.

Since the use of relief can take place at the earliest 28 days after the infection, this has no direct effects.

Proof of a past corona infection is used to make use of the specified relief for those who have recovered, such as a visit to the hairdresser without proof of test or the lifting of contact restrictions.

In addition, according to the information, for those who have already recovered, according to the recommendation of the Standing Vaccination Commission, one instead of two vaccine doses is sufficient to ensure protection against renewed infection with Corona.
