May 10, 2021 “We are people, not packages to throw away”, “Amazon, Adecco. Create work, not illusions! ”,“ Amazon a successful or precarious company ”. This is how we read on the signs of the former Adecco temporary workers of the Amazon pole of Colleferro who, orange bib, typical of logistics workers, met in front of the factory built in a few months on the outskirts of Rome to protest against the failure to renew expired contracts between December and January and denounce "a clear method of exploitation of local precarious work", particularly concerning the category of "disadvantaged workers".  

Surely "more than a thousand, some also tell us that there are more than 2 thousand" those sent home upon expiry of the contract according to the coordinator of the former Amazon / Adecco workers committee of Colleferro Luca Vizzaccaro. The official numbers have not yet been released by the company which "after most of the people were practically chased away at the end of January - says Vizzaccaro - continued to hire, again through the administration of Adecco, new precarious staff for a month, two months, three months. There is talk of 400-500 temporary staff that the company has replaced. The Adecco training course lasted longer than the work ". 

The former employees point the finger at the employer, the Adecco agency, which "told us that the warehouse had just been opened, that there was a need for staff and there would be an opportunity to continue, at least for people who deserved more - Vizzaccaro complains - All this, however, did not occur and I do not know what were the selection criteria for the confirmed people, who I think are in any case less than a hundred ".

Then the stories cross. Who was called with the opportunity of two contracts, the mog that is guaranteed hours and full time. It is explained that with full time it is safer because there would be 100% renewals, which was a new warehouse. "If they had told me - confesses a former employee - that I had to take all these courses to go to work only during the Christmas peak period, for a month and a half, I would not have come." There are those who tell the joy of hiring full time, the smile with which he entered every day at work, the morning, afternoon, evening shifts, of his colleagues. The renewal? The answer: no problem. And so it was but only for a month. Then at home.
