Kiefersfelden (dpa / lby) - The federal police arrested a suspected drug dealer who had been wanted for almost 20 years at the Austrian border.
Officials checked the occupants of a van on the highway 93 near Kiefersfelden (Rosenheim district) at the weekend, as the federal police announced on Monday.
They discovered that the now 53-year-old passenger was accused of trading heroin in Munich in 2002.
The Munich public prosecutor's office was therefore looking for him with an arrest warrant.
Shortly after the alleged act, the man was found to have fled abroad.
The officers took him to a detention center.
