Essen (dpa / lnw) - A ruthless parking offender ran into an employee of the security service in Essen while fleeing from the tow truck.

As the police reported on the incident last Friday, the 50-year-old employee of the city had called the towing service to have a car removed from a parking lot for the disabled.

Suddenly two men rushed over.

A 33-year-old got behind the wheel, even though the car was already with one axle in the "tow glasses", it was said.

Without consideration, the man accelerated, drove over the foot of the towing service employee (59) and hit the 50-year-old head-on, so that she flew over the hood.

Fortunately, the woman was only slightly injured.

Then the man sped away, his companion fled on foot.

The driver from Gütersloh was caught a little later, his driving license and the car were seized.

The search for the man who fled on foot continued.
