It was in November last year that the decision was made to discontinue the pollen measurements because those responsible for the measurements would retire, the systems were too old and the regions of Västerbotten and Norrbotten did not agree on who would finance.
But on April 28, the Norrbotten Region announced that it would resume the measurements together with the municipalities.
The regular measurements of pollen were started this spring and the forecast for the next few days is low levels of alder and willow pollen.
In a press release, the region writes that low levels of remotely transported birch pollen may occur.
Norrbotten's pollen measurement takes place in Piteå.
