Dresden / Plauen (dpa / sn) - In view of the falling number of corona infections, schools and daycare centers in Vogtland and northern Saxony can reopen from Wednesday (May 12).
In both counties, the seven-day incidence has been below the limit of 165 for five working days, the State Chancellery announced on Monday.
This enables limited regular operation with fixed groups in day-care centers for children, schools are allowed to open in alternating models.
The so-called federal emergency brake provides for distance teaching if the weekly incidence increases to a value above 165.
The incidence indicates how many new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants were recorded in the past seven days.
So far, only the schools and daycare centers in Leipzig, Dresden and in the Leipzig district have been open in limited regular operation and on a rotating basis.
