According to the department, since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,044,936 cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the country,

During the day, 282 people with coronavirus died in the country, a total of 43 311 infected people died.

Earlier, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced a lockdown in the republic from April 29 to May 17.
