When time, a good idea and desire come together, great things often grow on it - Oliver Wurm and Alexander Böker from the Hamburg office Juststickit have had this experience (again) in the past few weeks.

Together with their team, they had created very special Panini scrapbooks into which 200 well-known Hamburg residents could be glued, with their masked photos.

All of this was intended for a good cause, namely for the MenscHHamburg association, which wants to use the proceeds to support artists who have got into financial difficulties and distress due to the pandemic.

Also on board were the founder of MenscHHamburg, Lars Meier, and Barbara Heine from the culture agency Heinekomm.

All together could look forward to the high grossing result on Monday, a total of 155,700 euros in profit.

This was also so high because numerous Hamburg companies had taken care of the manufacturing and distribution costs.

“We are absolutely thrilled,” says Wurm, “our ambitious donation goal was 100,000 euros.

The fact that we are now significantly exceeding this figure is great. ”Since retailers can still send back unsold goods for several weeks, this number is so far only a cautious estimate.

"It may well be that we can even deliver a small second in August," announced Böker.

"This campaign showed us once again that we live in the most beautiful city with the greatest people - for whom the word 'solidarity' is very important."

At MenscHHamburg, a 15-member committee decides on the award in June.

Until the end of April, cultural workers hit by the Corona crisis had the opportunity to apply for a grant with an application.

“That is an outstanding result in favor of Hamburg's culture.

With our culture festival 'Einerkommt: we would like to exceed this sum at best,' says MenscHHamburg founder Lars Meier.

The festival takes place on May 12th, WELT is a media partner.

By collecting and exchanging the stickers, a large online community had developed in the past few weeks, 1,800 collectors who had to show a complete booklet took part in a raffle, the main winners receive a picture by Udo Lindenberg or their own figure in the miniature wonderland.
