This week, Region Sörmland is only expected to receive 12,400 vaccine doses, just over 10,100 fewer than during week 18. Next week's delivery will also be in that size.

This is because deliveries to Sweden will be smaller for a few weeks.

Must prioritize second doses

For Sörmland, this means that the majority of future deliveries will go to people in phases 1–3 who must receive their second dose a week.

The region works according to the principles that all doses should be used as they arrive, and therefore there are no saved second doses.

- This means that the bookable times available for phase 4 will mainly be available from next week, says Magnus Johansson, responsible for the vaccination program in Sörmland.

Phase 4 can start at different speeds

The day on which the first free vaccination period is available can vary between the municipalities in Sörmland, depending on how many second doses are given in each municipality.

It may thus be the case that the different municipalities in practice start vaccinating in phase 4 on different days, even if the booking opens at the same time.

But you do not have to get vaccinated in your home municipality.

- We offer vaccination in all municipalities and it is possible to choose which municipality you want to get vaccinated in, says Magnus Johansson.

Sörmland has currently given at least one dose to 39 percent of the population, approximately 91,600 people.

13 percent have received both of their doses.

Here you can see how all regions in the country are doing with their vaccination programs.

In the clip below, Magnus Johansson talks about how the booking in phase 4 goes.
