Homberg / Efze (dpa / lhe) - A man attacked a couple with a knife in Homberg / Efze in northern Hesse and then broke their leg while escaping.
According to the police on Monday, the attacker was the woman's ex-boyfriend.
The 47-year-old met the couple on Sunday afternoon.
There was a dispute here.
In the course of this, the ex-boyfriend pulled a knife and attacked the couple with it.
The 37-year-old man and the woman of the same age were injured in the head, the woman also in the upper body and hands.
The attacker then tried to flee.
He broke his leg while jumping over a wall.
All three injured were taken to hospital.
According to the police, the couple's injuries are not life-threatening.
The 47-year-old is being investigated for dangerous bodily harm.
It was initially unclear whether the attack was planned or developed out of the dispute.
