May 10, 2021 The 2021 pre-filled season opens: from today citizens will be able to view their 730 declaration and the Personal Income Form and consult the list of all the information already acquired by the Agency.

"This is an important milestone that has rewarded the enormous effort of the Revenue Agency to achieve this goal," says the director, Ernesto Maria Ruffini.

This is a real declaration pre-filled by the Agency, in which the data on income, withholdings, payments and numerous deductible or deductible expenses are already entered.

Last year, 3.9 million taxpayers used the simplified model, including employees, retirees and the self-employed. The data is constantly increasing if we consider that in

2015

the models transmitted were 1.4 million; in

2016

the models were 2.1 million; in

2017

there were 2.4 million models; in

2018

there were 2.9 million models; in

2019

the models were 3.3 million.

The pre-filled calendar provides that

from 19 May it

will be possible to send the declaration, accepting it as it is or making any changes or additions to the proposed pre-filled model. For the

sending of the 730 there is time until 30

September

, while for the

Individual Income model until 30

November

.

In all, the Agency specifies, the data made available to taxpayers is close to one billion, with the addition, from this year, of information on the holiday bonus, on school expenses and on donations made to schools. For this year, school expenses and donations to schools with relative reimbursements are added to the pre-filled information, if communicated as sending is optional for the tax years 2020 and 2021, and the deduction of 20% of the holiday bonus. used in 2020, for 80% already used as a payment discount.

In first place, as usual, are the data relating to health costs incurred by citizens, which this year settle at 718 million. The numbers relating to insurance premiums follow, equal to 93.6 million. The Single Certifications increased, reaching 68.7 million. On the other hand, the donations processed by the tax authorities are 549 thousand, more than double the 205 thousand registered last year.

Within the authenticated area of the pre-filled area, a function is also available that allows citizens to know, item by item, the destination of the income taxes they have paid: thus it turns out that about 20% of the taxes paid have been used for health care. , 21% for social security, 11% for education.

The main novelty, however, is that from this year the 19% deduction is due provided that the charge is borne with

traceable payment

methods

(for example debit, credit and prepaid cards, bank checks and circulars). This rule does not apply, and therefore the expense is deductible even if paid in cash, to the expenses incurred for the purchase of medicines and medical devices and for health services provided by public facilities or private facilities accredited to the National Health Service.
