Berlin (dpa / bb) - A trial against three students has started at the Berlin district court for drug trafficking.

The 24 to 26 year olds are said to have bunkered their supplies in a recording studio in the Reinickendorf district.

During a search in August 2020, among other things, one and a half kilograms of amphetamine mixture were seized.

The defense lawyers said at the start of the trial on Monday that their clients would not comment on the allegations at the moment.

According to the indictment, a 26-year-old is said to have rented the recording studio in November 2019.

This defendant received orders from potential buyers via partly encrypted communication services and partly also supplied them himself.

Two of the defendants are said to have portioned narcotics in the recording studio.

In the apartment of a suspect, alleged commercial proceeds of 205,000 euros were seized by the police.

The police also confiscated almost 60 grams of cocaine mixture, more than a kilogram of cannabis as well as packaging materials and fine scales from the alleged drug dealers.

In addition to typical merchant utensils, the defendants kept a baseball bat close at hand in order to be able to defend their drug stocks if necessary.

The trial will continue on May 17th.
