If we can get better information about where there are elm and elm disease, we are better equipped in the fight and have greater opportunities to save Gotland's elm, says Karin Wågström, forest consultant at the Swedish Forest Agency, in a statement.

The selected forests that the drone will photograph are located at Hangvar, Fole, Vallstena, Hörsne, Bäl, Ekeby, Roma, Vall, Sproge, Silte and Grötlingbo.

In all those forest areas, there are elm and confirmed cases of elm disease.

The flight will take place during weeks 20-22 and 32-34.
