Munich (dpa / lby) - In the approaching federal election campaign, the state parliament CSU also wants to make a name for itself in climate protection policy.

However, reasonable climate protection can only be achieved if one remains economically strong, said parliamentary group leader Thomas Kreuzer on Monday at the start of a three-day parliamentary group meeting in Munich.

That is why you have to combine both, economic and climate policy - this is where you differ from the Greens, for example.

The CSU parliamentary group meeting was actually planned in January, but was then postponed, among other things, due to current corona consultations in Berlin.

The highlight is a keynote speech by Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU), which is scheduled for the end of the exam on Wednesday.
