Mannheim (dpa / lsw) - Long-time national player Sinan Akdag will play an eighth season with the Adler Mannheim.
The defender has extended his contract, announced the top club of the German ice hockey league on Monday.
The 31-year-old Akdag has been playing for the Adler since 2014, who were surprisingly eliminated in the playoff semi-finals this season.
The former NHL professional Korbinian Holzer had already been confirmed as a new addition to the Mannheim defense.
Unlike Holzer, Akdag was not nominated for the current preparations for the World Cup in Riga, which begins on May 21st.
