Berlin / Potsdam (dpa / bb) - Strong winds displace the summer temperatures in Berlin and Brandenburg and ensure wet and significantly cooler weather.

Initially, however, the temperatures on Monday were peaking at 29 degrees in summer, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced.

Already on Sunday the warm weather drew many people to the Wannsee, the Spreewald or the Berlin parks.

From Monday afternoon cumulus clouds and showers caused the weather to change in Berlin and Brandenburg, and in isolated cases there could be thunderstorms with hail or heavy rain.

On Tuesday, according to the DWD, there are thick clouds in the sky, especially in the western parts of Brandenburg, which occasionally cause showers.

In the remaining parts of Berlin and Brandenburg there could be individual thunderstorms with heavy rain in the afternoon.

The temperatures rise up to 19 degrees in Prignitz, up to 27 degrees in Berlin and up to 30 degrees in Niederlausitz.

Also on Wednesday there are still many clouds in the sky over Berlin and Brandenburg.

In places it comes to rain again, which brings cooling with it.

The temperatures are then only 16 to 19 degrees, in isolated cases the temperatures should drop to as much as eight degrees.
