Bremen (dpa / lni) - Employees in the city of Bremen and in Bremerhaven have to do a Corona self-test twice a week from this Monday.
The federal state of Bremen had single-handedly introduced this corona test requirement in companies and administrations at the state level.
"A real obligation to test serves to protect employees who cannot work from home," said Bremen's Prime Minister Andreas Bovenschulte (SPD), justifying the decision after the cabinet decision at the end of April.
Children and teenagers who go to school also need to test themselves regularly.
Nationwide, employers are obliged by the Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance to offer their employees who do not work in the home office a Corona self-test twice a week.
In Bremen, the employees are now obliged to accept this offer.
