Somali police spokesman Sadiq Aden Ali said that a suicide attacker detonated a bomb at the Waberi district police station in Mogadishu that night, killing 6 people, including the chief of the Waberi district police station and Wari. The Deputy Chief of the Yo-Ad Police Department, 3 soldiers and 1 civilian, and 6 others were injured.
Witnesses said that there were many civilians around when the attack took place. The explosion was so powerful that the death toll may rise.
No organization has claimed to have caused this attack.
