Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The school representative (LSV) in North Rhine-Westphalia has called for a corona-related right to vote when grading the final exams.

The schoolchildren would have to be able to choose whether the test results are to be assessed or the average grades are awarded from the previously performed work, the LSV demanded on Sunday.

In addition, the assessment bases of the exams would have to be adapted to the learning gaps.

In the past few days there had been strong criticism of the math tasks in the Abitur.

"Using the example of the Abitur, we can now see what was clear before: after more than a year of pandemic, isolation and long school closings, many students were sitting in final exams before tasks they could not manage," criticized Timon Nikolaou, member of the board of directors of LSV NRW.

The time was too short and the tasks were too demanding.
