Ballenstedt (dpa / sa) - In the Harz Mountains, a small aircraft hit a car on a district road while approaching.

In the accident in the Asmusstedt district of Ballenstedt on Sunday afternoon, the nose wheel was torn off.

The pilot of the fire brigade, Holger Kohl, said that the pilot was able to land the aircraft on the runway of the airfield there and slide about 200 meters.

The couple who sat on the plane got out of the car on their own and did not have any injuries.

The driver of the car and an eight-month-old baby were looked after by the ambulance service and taken to a hospital as a precaution.
