Saudi Arabia announces the establishment of the ritual pilgrimage according to specific health controls

Yesterday, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the establishment of the ritual of Hajj this year "to ensure the preservation of the health and safety of the pilgrims," ​​stressing that the executive plans for this year's Hajj will be announced later.

And the Saudi News Agency (SPA) stated, “Out of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s constant keenness to enable the guests of the Sacred House of God and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque, may peace and blessings be upon him, to perform the rituals of Hajj and Umrah, as the Kingdom puts the health and safety of people first, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the Kingdom’s determination. Establishing the ritual of Hajj for the year 1442 AH in a manner that ensures the preservation of the health and safety of pilgrims, in accordance with health, security and regulatory controls and standards that ensure preservation of their health and the performance of their rituals easily and in a safe environment.

The Ministry affirmed that the health authorities in the Kingdom are continuing to assess conditions and take all measures to ensure the preservation of human health, pointing to attention because details of the controls and operational plans for this year's Hajj will be announced later.

The ministry did not give further details.

And Saudi Arabia allowed the establishment of the ritual pilgrimage last year "in very limited numbers of different nationalities who are inside the Kingdom."

She said that the decision came "in order to establish the ritual in a safe and healthy manner, in a manner that fulfills the requirements of prevention and social distancing necessary to ensure human safety and protect it from the threats of this pandemic, and to achieve the objectives of Islamic law in preserving the human soul."
