Today, Sunday, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced its intention to conduct the ritual pilgrimage for the current year, in accordance with health and security controls, to limit the spread of the Corona virus.

A statement by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated that the Kingdom intends to perform the Hajj ritual for the year 1442 AH (this year), in order to ensure the health and safety of the pilgrims, in accordance with health, security and regulatory controls and standards, which ensure the performance of the rituals easily and easily.

He explained that the health authorities in the Kingdom continue to assess the situation and take all necessary measures to preserve human health.

The statement, reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), also stated that details of the controls and operational plans for this year's Hajj will be announced later.

Last year, the Saudi authorities announced strict controls for a "limited pilgrimage" that is limited to pilgrims from inside the Kingdom, and in numbers that did not exceed 10 thousand at that time, after it was more than two million from inside and outside the country.
