Northeim (dpa / lni) - A deer in the middle of the city called the Northeim police on Sunday.
According to police, two patrols and a vet moved out after residents reported the animal in the morning.
"It was supposed to be sedated and brought back into the forest, but unfortunately that didn't work," said Sebastian Grothey from the police.
After about five hours, however, there were no more sightings of the deer in the city area.
“We assume that it found its way into the forest on its own,” says Grothey.
The "Hessische Niedersächsische Allgemeine" (HNA) had previously reported.
