“We are celebrating 76 years since the historic victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War,” Maduro wrote on Twitter.
According to him, the victory was achieved "thanks to the courage and steadfastness of the Russian people."

Earlier, a parade on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War ended in Moscow; in the final part of the event, 76 planes and helicopters flew over Red Square.
The commander-in-chief of the Russian Ground Forces, Oleg Salyukov, commented on the event and told RT how President Vladimir Putin and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu appreciated the parade.
