With its Trophées de l'Avenir, Europe 1 rewards companies, associations and local authorities each year for their daring, innovation and visionary side. In the running for the Europe 1 listeners' favorite trophy, the Bureaux du Coeur allow companies to accommodate people in precarious situations in their premises in the evening and at weekends.
Why not use company premises at night to house people in very precarious situations?
It is from this idea that was born the concept of the Offices of the Heart of Pierre-Yves Loaëc, member of the center of the young leaders (CJD) of Nantes.
"In the evenings and on weekends, we accommodate people in precarious housing conditions. They can be homeless people, migrants, people fleeing domestic violence, students in a situation of poverty ...", specifies Pierre-Yves Loaëc.

Dignified emergency accommodation
Concretely, the "guest" arrives in the evening and settles down for the night in a "sleeping area" previously set up within the host company on the advice of the Bureaux du Cœur. It has all the elements to live with dignity without any compensation of any kind. The next morning, the guest must be ready to leave before the arrival of the first employees "and a moment of conviviality is set up around a coffee or a breakfast", explains Pierre-Yves Loaëc.
But "the guest" is not left to himself for all that during working hours, since a partner association, which also ensures the smooth running of the accommodation, offers him to participate in several activities. among which the search for a job, to make its CV, language courses, work on a project of life or professional reintegration.

An initiative that wants to become national
For the moment, 15 companies are able to welcome a "guest" in Nantes, and 7 people have been able to benefit from this system since the beginning of 2020. But the concept is spreading and the association of Bureaux du Coeur "has opened a dozen. delegations in France, from Lille to Toulouse and Marseille, via Paris and Lyon, which bring together both host companies who want to welcome and partner associations looking for accommodation for their beneficiaries ".
Ultimately, Pierre-Yves Loaëc hopes to see the initiative of the Bureaux du Coeur "become national and possible for all French companies wishing to help a person in a precarious situation".
