Sondershausen (dpa / th) - A cyclist in Sondershausen refused to come to the hospital after falling and attacked rescue workers.

The 25-year-old was seriously injured in the fall in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, the police said on Sunday.

When the rescue workers arrived, he behaved aggressively.

As a result, the victim refused to receive further treatment for his injuries in the hospital and tried to hit the helpers.

A breath alcohol test showed the cyclist 2.42 per mille.

Eventually the man was taken to a hospital after all.

Two complaints were filed against him - for being drunk in traffic and for attacking the rescue workers.
