Burkina Faso: a village raided by hundreds of armed men

In Burkina Faso, at least three civilians were killed in the village of Tin-Akoff, on the night of Saturday to Sunday.

Two people were still missing on Sunday.

According to security sources, several concessions were set on fire.

In addition, three soldiers were injured when their vehicle hit an improvised explosive device on the Seba-Mansila axis.

Armed men, hundreds, according to local sources, stormed parts of the town of Tin-Akoff on the night of Saturday to Sunday. At least three men were murdered. Houses were set on fire and livestock taken away, according to several witnesses joined on the spot. Two residents were still missing on Sunday after the passage of these armed men.

Before leaving the village, the attackers reportedly gave the populations an ultimatum. "

The terrorists promised to launch an assault on the village if however they came to find a resident there

 ", according to a security source. The populations in distress, those of the districts of Adjora and Manzourou targeted by the attack began to flee. They went to the local military detachment to protect themselves, says security sources. The inhabitants of Markoye, the neighboring locality, have also recorded arrivals of population from Tin-Akoff.

Another attack targeted a livelihood convoy for internally displaced people from Mansila, still in the Sahel region.

One of the vehicles in the convoy jumped on an improvised explosive device.

Three soldiers were injured.

The defense forces secured the food convoy.

The wounded were evacuated to the capital to be taken care of.

Mansila is home to around 10,000 internally displaced people.
