China News Service, Beijing, May 10, title: Why did this "recruitment notice" arouse Xi Jinping's attention?

Why does a recruitment notice attract the attention of China's top leader Xi Jinping?

Why can we start with this recruitment notice when looking back on the centuries of struggle of the Chinese Communist Party?

Turning the hour hand back for a century, it was November 1921, and an "Initiation of the Max (Thinking) Research Association" was published in the Journal of Peking University.

This "late" recruitment notice publicly announced the existence of the Marxist Research Association of Peking University-this association "for the purpose of studying writings on Marxist school" "is interested in the study of Marxist school and is willing to study Marxism Anyone who is academic can be a member of this association."

"Late" is because the research group was initiated by Li Dazhao, director of the Peking University Library, as early as March 1920.

In order to avoid the risk of censorship by the authorities, the research society has been operating in a relatively "secret" state.

This recruitment notice shows that the research society has 19 members, including Deng Zhongxia, Gao Junyu, He Mengxiong and other early members of the Communist Party who are familiar with later.

They collected a variety of foreign-language materials related to Marx's theory and translated them into Chinese, "for Chinese people to study and learn".

Today, these translations and this recruitment notice have become precious historical materials and are collected in the Peking University Library.

In 2014, Xi Jinping came to Peking University for an investigation. When he saw these historical materials, he said with emotion: tracing the roots, look at the source here.

Indeed, most researches believe that the Marxist Doctrine Research Association is the source of systematic research and spread of Marxism in China.

It also made organizational preparations for the establishment of the Chinese Communist Party.

At the same time, it has also become an early symbol of the Sinicization of Marxism.

This can be seen only in a "zhai" that is closely related to it-"Kang Mu Yizhai".

The elegant "Zhai", which combines Chinese and Western names, is a small library of the Research Association.

"Kang Muyi" is the transliteration of German "Communism"; "Zhai" is the elegant term for study by Chinese intellectuals.

The combination of the two represents the combination of Western Marxism and Chinese culture.

Here, Li Dazhao organized the members of the Research Association to collect, discuss, lecture, and compile Marxism, which opened the early practice of Marxism in China.

Despite the name "Zhai", the members of the research group do not think that Marxism is limited to "learning in the study", and they often go to the people to preach and establish contact with the workers and the people.

Integrating theory with practice, closely ties with the masses... These are considered to be the successful experiences of the Chinese Communist Party of Marxism, which have already been reflected in the original research group of only 19 people.

In the next one hundred years, the wave of Sinicization of Marxism surged, and successively produced Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thought of the "Three Represents", the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Guidance, the Communist Party of China has evolved from a party with only a few dozen members to the largest party in the world with more than 91 million members today.

As the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Xi Jinping said, the history of our party is a history of continuously advancing the sinicization of Marxism, a history of continuously advancing theoretical innovation and theoretical creation.

"If we deviate from or abandon Marxism, our party will lose its soul and lose its direction."

And China under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, in the process of Sinicization of Marxism, has realized the transformation of standing up, getting rich, and becoming stronger, profoundly changing itself and enlightening the world:

Without the guidance of advanced theories and the leadership of advanced political parties upholding advanced theories, the Chinese nation cannot change the destiny of being oppressed and enslaved, and China cannot be united and prosperous.

Such a goal may coincide with the original intention of the establishment of the Research Institute-"Our intention is to gradually complete the hope that we should have in our ideals with this simple organization." The "Initiation of the Marxist Theory Research Association" wrote in this way. Tao.
