Hamburg (dpa / lno) - Buses and trains in Hamburg will resume regular nightly operations on Thursday night.

The night buses and the all-day buses will then run again, as the traffic authority announced on Sunday.

The night-time operation of the S-Bahn and U-Bahn in the nights from Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Sunday is also going back to normal operation.

Because of Ascension Day, this is said to be the case on the night of May 12th to May 13th.

Until regular night traffic is resumed by the HVV on May 13th and to support the transition to regular operations, the alternative night-time taxi service and the two shared taxi providers MOIA and ioki Hamburg will be extended until May 16.

Then it will be discontinued, according to the authorities.

Mayor Peter Tschentscher (SPD) said on Friday that the nightly exit restrictions that have been in force in Hamburg between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. for five weeks will fall on Wednesday (May 12) if the seven-day incidence of new corona infections falls below five working days 100 and the infection situation remains stable.

On Sunday, the seven-day incidence of new corona infections in Hamburg was 83.8 and thus below the 100 mark for the fifth day in a row.
