  [Explanation] The Baimei Overseas Chinese Reps Museum is located in Baimei Village, Tingjiang Town, Mawei District, Fuzhou City. This is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese. In the 1990s, many villagers in Baimei Village went overseas to work hard. Now there are more than 1,300 people in the village, including foreigners. More than 800 overseas Chinese.

  Tingjiang Baimei is a well-known hometown of overseas Chinese. Most of the villagers here have made a living abroad, so it is a very good place with a deep understanding of overseas Chinese, so we came here to build a museum. The local villagers welcome us to build this overseas Chinese Museum.

  [Explanation] Zhou Xiaochuan is the person in charge of the Baimei Overseas Chinese Remarks Museum. When the reporter saw him, he was in front of the counter sorting out the overseas Chinese remarks collected in recent years.

In 2008, Zhou Xiaochuan began to collect and study the batches of overseas Chinese in Fujian and Guangdong, and has collected more than 2,000 copies so far.

In the past, letters and remittance vouchers sent by overseas Chinese to the country were collectively referred to as overseas Chinese batches.

In Zhou Xiaochuan's view, the gathering of thousands of overseas Chinese is a history of immigration and entrepreneurship of overseas Chinese.

Among these yellowing overseas Chinese, there are short talks from parents and sighs about the feelings of the home country. The amount of the remittance slips varies, and some are sent to relatives for daily life, while others are for building roads and schools in their hometown.

Among them, two parcels of overseas Chinese sent by Shi Wenqing, a compatriot from Baimei Village, to Chen Jingzhong, an elder from his hometown, attracted the attention of reporters.

Zhou Xiaochuan told reporters that there are five exhibition halls in the museum. In addition to the two exhibition halls that have been built to exhibit calligraphy works on the theme of Chen Qiaopi and Qiaopai culture respectively, the Overseas Chinese Book Reading Hall, Overseas Chinese Object Exhibition Hall, Minnan and Chaoshan Overseas Chinese The batch exhibition hall is also under preparation.
