May 09, 2021The second stage of the Chinese Long March 5B rocket has re-entered the atmosphere over the Indian Ocean, in an area close to the Maldives Islands. This was announced by the human flight office of the Chinese space agency CNSA.

Previously, the technical table of the Department of Civil Protection, on the basis of the data provided by the Italian Space Agency, had ruled out the fall of one or more fragments of space debris on the Italian territory in uncontrolled re-entry into the atmosphere.
