Hamburg (AP) - Hamburg's Jendrik Sigwart (26), as a German participant in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in the Netherlands, has to do without a lot of ESC feeling due to the corona.
For the musical singer trained in Osnabrück, quarantine at home is not only mandatory until May 12th, the rules are also strict in Rotterdam.
"We are only allowed from the hotel to the exhibition halls and back," he told the German press agency.
Getting to know the other participants will therefore hardly be possible.
“I'm really happy that I have my friends with me on stage.
Then at least we can somehow spend time together in the hotel. "
The ESC 2021 starts on May 18th with the first semifinals.
In the finale on May 22nd, Jendrik will perform his self-written song “I Don't Feel Hate”.
In 2020, the competition was canceled for the first time in its history due to the corona pandemic.
