Pasewalk (dpa / mv) - Police officers in Pasewalk (Vorpommern-Greifswald district) discovered banners and stickers with sometimes derogatory remarks in memory of the end of the Second World War on May 8, 1945.

On the stickers were slogans like “May 8, 1945 No Liberation Day” and “May 8, 1945 And that's what you call Liberation Day”, as the police announced on Saturday.

There was also a logo and the words “Pomeranian Youth Association” on the stickers.

A similar saying was said to be on a one by three meter banner.

A total of eight stickers and the banner were discovered in the city area.

The unknown perpetrators were reported to have been charged with illegal billposting.
