China's manned space agency announced that the remains of the Chinese-launched rocket'Changjeong 5B' entered the atmosphere today (9th) at 10:24 a.m. Korean time at 11:24 a.m. Korean time.



China's manned space agency added that the rocket wreckage was dismantled in the air above 72.47 degrees east longitude and 2.65 degrees north latitude.



The area is the waters of the Indian Ocean.



Earlier, the rocket's wreckage was estimated to weigh 20 tonnes, 31m long and 5m in diameter.



On the 29th of last month, China launched the'Changjeong 5B' rocket from the Wenchang launch base in Hainan Province.



The rocket went into space carrying a module for the construction of China's own space station, but there have been concerns since earlier this month that it could fall into Earth at an uncontrolled altitude drop.
