Barsinghausen (dpa) - Unknown people broke into a corona test center in the Hanover region and stole around 2500 rapid antigen tests as well as disinfectants, surgical gloves and protective masks.

With the test kits alone, damage of more than 20,000 euros can be assumed, the police said on Sunday.

It is unclear whether the test station in a supermarket parking lot in Barsinghausen can reopen on Monday.

At the moment there is no inventory there to work.

The perpetrator or perpetrators had pried open the door on Saturday night and probably brought the material away in a delivery truck.

Previously, the "Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung" reported.
