Afghanistan is in mourning this Sunday, May 8 after the attack on a school on Saturday in western Kabul in a Hazara neighborhood, the country's Shiite minority.

Latest assessment: at least 50 dead, dozens injured.

Hundreds of young girls were in class when a suicide bomber detonated his charge in a vehicle parked near the school.

Two more explosions followed.

The Taliban deny any involvement.

A funeral has been held since this morning on Hadji Nabi hill in the west of the capital.

He came to bury his 17-year-old niece Qamal.

We went to a neighborhood hospital.

We saw his body but it was unrecognizable.

She was disfigured.

We did not know that it was really her thanks to her watch.

Amina, crouched near the pit, collapsed.

She lives in the same neighborhood as the students whose lives were cut short on Saturday.

In the morning when we go to school or work, we have no guarantee that we will come home alive

My brother is in high school.

He said to me, “ 

Today is the turn of Sayed Shuhada's school.

Tomorrow it will be mine.

There is no security for the people who live in this neighborhood, we have no guarantee of staying alive.

 "

Anger

In his neighborhood, residents are angry.

This Sunday morning again, altercations took place between residents and the police.

The population criticizes the authorities for neglecting their security.
