Elias Kuosmanen has achieved an Olympic place for Finland in Greco-Roman wrestling in the 130-kilo series.

The place was secured in the Sofia qualifying tournament when Kuosmanen defeated Ukraine's Mykola Kuchma in the semi-finals.

In the quarterfinals, Kuosmanen defeated Radoslav Plamenov Georgiev of Bulgaria and Alexandros Papadatos of Greece in the opening round of the tournament.

Arvi Savolainen has already acquired a 97-kilometer ground for Finland and is also a strong candidate for the series at the Tokyo Olympics.

It forced Kuosmanen to move higher in the series to the heaviest weight class of Greco-Roman wrestling.

Neither Finnish wrestler has previously competed in the Olympics.

The Tokyo Summer Games are scheduled to begin on July 23rd.
