AlphaTauri team driver Yuki Tsunoda and his race engineer had a heated discussion during the final rehearsals of the Barcelona race on Saturday.
Japanese Tsunoda, 20, didn’t like to get feedback in the middle of a bend and roared on the stable radio.
The racing driver did not mind the race engineer either.
He responded sharply to Tsunoda.
- Yuki, calm down.
All right, the engineer said.
Known as a tough swearler, Tsunoda will drive the fourth F1 race of his career in Barcelona.
His best finish so far is the ninth place finish in the opening race of the season in Bahrain.
Kimi Räikkönen also roared into his stable on the radio.
Alfa Romeo driver Räikkönen said he suspected a flat tire and the team warned him of Williams' Nicholas Latif, who was driving two seconds away.
- I don't care, because ... Räikkönen, who has already started running into the depot, said.
- Yeah, no worries, Alfa Romeo replied.
Räikkönen's right rear tire was changed and the Finn was able to continue training.
He was finally the ninth fastest driver in the third practice session.
The fastest of the rehearsals was Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, Mercedes ’Lewis Hamilton was second and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc third.
Mercedes' Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas was Fifth.
