Dusseldorf (AP) - SC Magdeburg has celebrated another victory in the handball Bundesliga after two defeats.
At Bergischer HC it was 25:21 (9: 8) on Saturday evening.
The Magdeburg team's best thrower was Michael Damgaard with fourteen goals, Fabian Gutbrod scored the most for BHC with eight goals.
The hosts started better, overall the defensive ranks dominated at first - only five goals were scored in the first ten minutes (2: 3/10.).
The SCM slouched in the end, awarded numerous free balls in front of Thomas Mrkva.
After an SCM time-out and with four goals from Damgaard, things got better and the first SCM lead followed (8: 7/26.).
Even after the break, Damgaard was the central player, bringing the SCM to four goals ahead with five goals (15: 11/38.).
But the BHC did not give up, used Magdeburg missed throws to shorten (17: 15/45.).
More was not possible because the hosts never got Damgaard under control.
