Saudi Arabia requires a "passport" to travel between the Gulf states

The Saudi newspaper "Okaz" quoted a source as saying that the Kingdom continues to suspend travel with national identity between Gulf countries, and it requires a passport to travel between GCC countries.

The newspaper added, according to an unnamed source, that the passport is currently allowed for travel between the Gulf countries, noting that travel with national identity continues to be temporarily suspended to and from the Kingdom for Saudi citizens and citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and that the passport must be used for travel.
