Frankfurt / Main (dpa) - According to the State Sports Association of North Rhine-Westphalia, there have been allegations against the DOSB President Alfons Hörmann some time ago.

With a view to the anonymous letter that weighs heavily on Hörmann, “weeks ago, employees of the DOSB reported to us about incidents that were completely and partly verbatim with the allegations made yesterday in an anonymously published open letter against Mr. Hörmann has become known, ”said the LSB when asked by the ARD“ Sportschau ”after the presidium meeting on Friday evening.

“In addition, the events were confirmed to us by employees of the DOSB even after the letter was published.

We appeal to the employees concerned to turn to a neutral complaints office, ”it said.

In the anonymous letter on behalf of DOSB employees, Hörmann was attacked.

The authors of the letter speak of a “culture of fear” in the association and complain about the alleged lack of respect and fair play in the management bodies.

The board of directors and the presidium of the DOSB supported Hörmann.

Stefan Klett, LSB boss in North Rhine-Westphalia, called for Hörmann's resignation and new elections.

For Monika Lazar, spokeswoman for sports policy of the Bundestag faction Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, the central associations DOSB and the German Football Association, in which President Fritz Keller's confidence was withdrawn by the amateur representatives, “currently give a miserable external image”.

If the "serious allegations" prove to be true, the consequences are "certainly inevitable.

The ethics committee must now deal with the allegations. "

SPD politician Mahmut Özdemir also has a clear opinion.

The tumbling apparent giant DOSB has long been a fallen giant under the leadership of Hörmann.

"In any case, the DOSB and sport shouldn't suffer from this personality," said the sports policy spokesman.
