　　△From April 25 to 27, 2021, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission visited Guangxi.

　　The Battle of the Xiangjiang River, an extremely heroic battle since the Long March of the Central Red Army, is also a crucial battle for the survival of the Red Army.

　　From late November to early December 1934, in order to ensure that the main forces of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central Red Army cross the Xiangjiang River and smash the enemy's attempt to encircle and annihilate the Red Army east of the Xiangjiang River, tens of thousands of Red Army soldiers fought blood and wrote a magnificent revolutionary epic.

　　When the Red Army set off from Daoxian County, Hunan Province, and crossed the Xiangjiang River, more than 300,000 enemy troops had formed a "pocket" in an attempt to wipe out the Red Army east of the Xiangjiang River.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Central Revolutionary Military Commission, and the General Political Department of the Red Army jointly issued a telegram "If you are not a victor, you are a defeated", the Red Army soldiers fought fiercely with the enemy.

　　At the critical moment of crossing the river, Zhu De sent a number of telegrams to the 34th Division of the Red Fifth Army, which was serving as a rear guard.

This unit, known as the "Desperate Defender", was intercepted by the enemy after covering the main force of the Central Red Army across the Xiangjiang River, and almost all died.

　　The teacher Chen Shuxiang was unfortunately arrested due to a shot in the abdomen. He would rather die than surrender and take out his intestines from the wound, strangled it and sacrificed heroically. At only 29 years old, he fulfilled his vow to "drain the last drop of blood for the Soviets."

Jieshou Town is located on the west bank of the Xiangjiang River 15 kilometers north of Xing'an County, Guangxi. The Guanghuapu Resistance War, one of the three major resistance wars in the Battle of Xiangjiang River in 1934, took place here.

At that time, the old ancestral hall in the town dedicated to the three officials of heaven, earth, and water became the command post of the battle, and the Sanguantang was named "Red Army Hall" because of this.
