Munich (AP) - FC Bayern Munich celebrated its ninth German championship in a row with a sovereign win against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

After the 31st title after the defeat of RB Leipzig at Borussia Dortmund was already fixed before the kick-off, the Munich team did not allow themselves any negligence.

At 6-0 (4-0) against Gladbach, world footballer Robert Lewandowski came very close to Gerd Müller's almost 50-year-old 40-goal record on Saturday with his 37, 38 and 39 goals.

On the remaining two match days, the 32-year-old Pole can equalize and even surpass Müller's record.

Lewandowski (2nd / 34th / 66th / penalty kick), Thomas Müller (23rd), Kingsley Coman (44th) and Leroy Sané (85th) scored the goals for Bayern.
