Bornheim (dpa / lnw) - In an apartment fire in an apartment building in Bornheim (Rhein-Sieg district), fire fighters discovered a dead person on Saturday morning.
The investigation into the cause of the fire and the body continued, said a police spokesman.
According to the fire brigade, five people were rescued from surrounding apartments.
The 35 emergency services quickly brought the fire under control, but the apartment concerned was no longer habitable.
All other apartments were not damaged and the residents were able to enter them again after a short time.
