Halle (dpa) - The handball players of SV Union Halle-Neustadt have not been able to spoil the championship celebration for Borussia Dortmund.

The promoted team lost to the Champions League participant on Saturday at home with 10:39 (9:22).

With the 27th win of the season in the 27th league game, the Dortmund women made their first German championship title perfect.

The largest share in the success of André Fuhr's protégés had Merel Freriks, Johanna Stockschläder (6 each) and Inger Smits (5/2).

Lena Smolik (4) and Julia Redder (4/1) scored the most goals for the indoor women.

The big favorite was only 1: 2 (5th) behind.

With an 8: 1 run to 9: 3 (12th minute), Dortmund ensured clear conditions in the first quarter of an hour and were already ahead with ten goals for the first time with 17: 7 (22nd minute).

The new German champion mercilessly punished the many technical errors of the SV Union.
