Plauen (dpa / sn) - The Vogtland is preparing for easing in the face of falling corona infection numbers.

The district office in Plauen announced on Friday that there could be relief for citizens.

If the numbers remained stable, schools with alternating classes and daycare centers in the district could presumably reopen on Wednesday (May 12th).

The Vogtland is expecting the possibility of shopping with appointments from next Friday.

The district office will announce more details next Tuesday.

On Friday, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the weekly incidence for the Vogtland district as 137.2.

According to the Federal Emergency Brake, schools and daycare centers are allowed to open if the value is stable below 165.

The Vogtland - with many commuters from the Czech Republic - was considered a Corona hotspot for weeks.
