Erfurt (dpa / th) - In a workshop in Erfurt-Melchendorf, an extraction system caught fire due to a technical defect.
Two employees, aged 42 and 58, were slightly injured on Thursday evening when they tried to contain the fire, the police said on Friday.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames - the system was reportedly completely destroyed.
The damage is estimated at around 20,000 euros.
Extraction systems keep the air clean and remove any disturbing particles or gases.
