Since this Friday May 7 and until Sunday the members of the French Communist Party vote to determine whether they want their national secretary Fabien Roussel to be a candidate in the presidential election of 2022. If the yes wins, that will put an end to 15 years of absence of the PCF in the supreme ballot, because during the last two presidential elections, the party had lined up behind Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

And this possible change of course does not necessarily please the leader of La France insoumise.

“

I'm bitter because I don't understand.

I do not accept

.

However, Jean-Luc Mélenchon had seen it happen for months, this desire of the leaders of the Communist Party to go it alone in the presidential election.

But he didn't believe it, or at least pretended not to believe it.

Because for the leader of La France insoumise, it is a historical error of analysis of the leaders of the PCF: "

The desertion of the communist leadership, it is the old disease of the apparatuses: at a given moment, they prioritize what they believe to be their existence over the cause they serve.

The key to their behavior is that they believe it is lost.

Me no.

On the side of the Communists, it is judged that Jean-Luc Mélenchon never considered their contribution to its true value.

Already during the presidential election of 2017, the rallying to the candidate of La France Insoumise was against the advice of the leadership of the PC, outvoted by the vote of the members.

A turnaround in which this time Jean-Luc Mélenchon hardly believes.

I don't hide the fact that it makes me anxious,

" he said

.

But hey, we'll face it.

 "

It is still a few hundred thousand votes that could fly for Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

But also precious sponsorship of elected Communists.

Signatures that the Insubordinate would then have to look elsewhere to obtain the 500 needed to be a candidate.
